Airport transfer

Bangalore Airport to Bannerghatta Cab

Bannerghatta lies at the far southern edge of the city, almost opposite the airport. A private cab is the simplest way to cross Bengaluru in one go, whether you are heading to the national park or to a home on Bannerghatta Road.

Across the city

From Kempegowda Airport to Bannerghatta and back

This is one of the longer airport runs in Bengaluru, because you travel from the extreme north to the extreme south. Our driver takes you through the city using the roads the route planner suggests, and you stay in one comfortable seat for the entire stretch.

Route-planner figures from OpenStreetMap data, without traffic delays or stops. Bengaluru traffic varies a lot by time of day, so allow extra time for your flight; we will suggest a pickup time when you book.

The figures above are route-planner numbers without traffic or stops. The return direction is a little longer on paper, and on a working day the Bannerghatta Road end of the trip can slow down noticeably, so plan generously.

Who travels this way

National park visitors, residents and hospital trips

People ask for this transfer for a few different reasons:

  • Families landing in Bengaluru to visit the Bannerghatta Biological Park, which has a zoo, a safari area and a butterfly park within the national park.
  • Residents of the apartment communities along Bannerghatta Road, Hulimavu, Arekere and Gottigere.
  • Visitors to the hospitals and institutions on this road, including IIM Bangalore and the large hospitals near Jayadeva.
  • Travellers who want to go straight from the airport to the park and spend the day there.

Planning

Timing your pickup and your flight

For a departure, leave early. Because the drive is long, a flight in the morning means setting off in the dark hours, and an afternoon flight should still start well before lunch if you want to be relaxed at check-in. Check your airline’s check-in cut-off and work backwards, adding a buffer for traffic around Bannerghatta Road.

For an arrival, share your flight number and whether you land at Terminal 1 or Terminal 2. After a long flight and a long drive, many families prefer to rest first and see the park the next morning. If you want to go straight there, tell us when you book so the driver is ready.

Vehicles

Matching the cab to your group

A couple with two bags is comfortable in a sedan such as the Ciaz. A family with children, strollers and bigger suitcases will appreciate an Innova or Innova Crysta. A group travelling together can ask for a Tempo Traveller. The fare is confirmed when you book.

If you would like to stay on after the transfer, the local taxi service can keep the car with you for a day around the city.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Route-planner data shows about 55 km from Bannerghatta to the airport and about 56 km on the way back, which is about 1 h and about 1 h 15 min of driving respectively, without traffic or stops.

Yes. Give us the park or your Bannerghatta Road address when you book and the driver drops you there. Check the park’s current visiting arrangements before you plan your day.

Tell us whether you fly from Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 for a drop, and the arrival terminal for a pickup, so the driver is at the correct door.

Not always, but with children and several bags an Innova or Crysta is more comfortable than a sedan on a trip of this length.

The fare is confirmed when you book. We do not publish airport fares on this page.
